Buski-Lakhani Bursaries

We are proud to support young leaders in developing their skills while learning about and assisting communities in resource-deprived areas of the world through our Buski- Lakhani Travel Bursaries. Students in universities and colleges in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, can apply for one of several travel bursaries to assist in completing a project related to their area of studies.

The bursaries are named in honor of two Rotarians who exemplify the Rotary motto ‘Service above Self’. Dr. Julius Buski is an educator, past President of the Rotary Club of Edmonton Mayfield and past District Governor. Dr. Zaheer Lakhani is a distinguished cardiologist, a Member of the Order of Canada and recipient of the prestigious Rotary International ‘Service above Self’ award.
 
Each year, 5 bursaries will be awarded.
