Who We Are

For almost 50 years, the Rotary Club of Edmonton Mayfield has been bringing people together to serve our community and the world. We are proud Edmontonians who believe in making a difference — locally, nationally, and globally.

Our guiding principles come from Rotary’s Four-Way Test:

  1. Is it the truth?
  2. Is it fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
  4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

These questions guide how we work, connect, and serve.

Through the Rotary Foundation, we support projects in Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus:

We are a registered charitable organization and can provide tax receipts through Canada Helps. Every dollar donated supports meaningful projects in our community and around the world.

We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at noon at the Chateau Nova Yellowhead (and by Zoom for those who cannot attend in person), and the second Saturday at 10am by Zoom.

Why do people join Rotary? Many will tell you that they were seeking an opportunity to give back. 
 
Why do people stay in Rotary? We do have an opportunity to give back, but Rotarians also receive so much. We develop business contacts and friendships with people from all continents, cultures and occupations and are welcomed into clubs, businesses and homes around the globe, just because we are Rotarians. We work collaboratively, side-by-side, young and not so young to achieve a common purpose. And we change lives, through education, health care, clean water and other initiatives, often for people we will never meet. In doing so, we are forever changed as well.
