Next Meeting

At our next meeting, we’re pleased to welcome Jeanne Brigitte Lehman, C.M., Founder and Executive Director of Canadian Women in Action - BCW, who will join us in person.

Jeanne will introduce us to BCW’s work and share how the organization supports women, entrepreneurs, and communities through leadership, economic empowerment, and inclusive development initiatives.

Our meeting is held at the Chateau Nova Yellowhead. Come in the conference door and look for the banner. If you cannot come in person, please join us by Zoom: Meeting ID 780 222 3440; Passcode Mayfield.

Last meeting recap

At our last meeting, we had a great conversation with Jim Galpin, our new Club President, who shared highlights and key takeaways from his recent trip to the Rotary International Convention in Taipei.

Jim also shared some of his priorities for the year ahead, with a strong focus on club service, membership, and fellowship—making sure our club continues to be a welcoming place where members can connect, contribute, and enjoy being part of Rotary.

To make that happen, we need more members to take an active role, particularly on the Membership and Club Service committees. If you’re interested in getting more involved, sharing your ideas, or taking on a leadership role, we’d love to hear from you!

Many Hands Make Light Work

A big thank you to Wayne and his son Malcolm, Mike, Marilyn and her sister Terry, and their friend Danny for volunteering at Sports Central!

Together, they deflated an impressive 306 basketballs, which will be distributed by Edmonton Police to kids who don’t have access to play equipment.

A simple afternoon of volunteering that will help bring a lot of fun to kids in our community. Thank you, team!

Get Involved: Join a Committee This Year

Looking for a meaningful way to get more involved this year? Serving on a club committee is a great way to volunteer your time, learn new skills, and contribute directly to the work that moves our club forward. Committees offer a chance to collaborate, share ideas, and shape the projects and initiatives that matter most to our community.

Whether you’re new to Rotary or a long-time member, your perspective and energy are valuable. If you’re interested in joining a committee or want to learn more about the options available, please reach out. We’d love to have you involved.

Members Anniversaries

We’re launching a new section on our social media channels to celebrate (and brag a little 😉) about the incredible members of our club and the unique stories behind their Rotary journeys.

We invite all members to share a Personal Expression Statement highlighting the impact Rotary has had on your life, and the difference you’ve made through Rotary. This is your chance to tell your story, your way, and inspire others along the way.

Please Use this link to submit your story. Or email Victoria directly with your story.

How can we tell our story?

If you are working on a project or event or if you want to share your Rotary journey with others, we want to hear about it. And if you attend an event, take pictures or videos and send them to Victoria. We will use these for social media and bulletin posts.
Are you an established professional who wants to make positive changes in your community and the world? Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship.
We invite you to join us at an upcoming meeting.
