Access to clean water and sanitation can bring about significant improvements in people's lives. When communities have access to clean water and sanitation, waterborne diseases decrease, leading to improved health for children and better school attendance rates. Mothers also have more time to spend with their families, rather than carrying water.

Rotary helps make this possible through their Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) programs. Rotary's people of action mobilize resources, form partnerships, and invest in infrastructure and training that yield long-term change.

A warm greeting from Ghana!

We received a nice email from a fellow Rotaractor from Ghana. August has been following our social media channels and has been a great supporter. Recently, August sent these motivating words to all of us.

"Dear Partners-In-Service, This is Past President Rotaractor Augustus Darko Akuffo from the Rotaract Club of Accra-East in Ghana, RI District 9104. I would like to compliment your great work done through your the impactful initiatives. I have been following you for a while now and I have learnt a lot from your posts on Instagram. I hope to be able to join one of your virtual meetings before the Rotary year ends. Thank you for creating hope in the world through your service.

Best regards.

PP. Rtr. Augustus Darko Akuffo"

Self-Care Corner

Have you heard about the self-care jar? It's a fun and easy idea! Here's how it works:

  1. Grab an empty jar.
  2. Write down your favorite self-care ideas on strips of paper.
  3. Whenever you're feeling down, stressed out, or drained, simply pull out a strip of paper and do that activity.
Practice this and share it with anyone you care about. You can also explore these wellness toolkits to find other ways to improve your well-being.

Impact Challenge

Our Rotary Global Impact Challenge is open for submissions! If you know of anyone working to make a difference in Edmonton, please tell them about this initiative. People can learn more about the challenge and submit their applications here. This event is also open to Rotary members.

How can we tell our story?

If you are working on a project or event or if you want to share your Rotary journey with others, we want to hear about it. And if you attend an event, take pictures or videos and send them to Victoria. We will use these for social media and bulletin posts.

Are you an established professional who wants to make positive changes in your community and the world? Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship.
We invite you to join us at an upcoming meeting.
