Next Meeting

At our next meeting, we’ll welcome Claire MacDonald, Program Manager of 24/7 Crisis Diversion with REACH Edmonton Council for Safe Communities.

Claire will give us an overview of Edmonton’s 24/7 Crisis Diversion Program, including how it began, how it has evolved, and the partnerships that make the program possible. She’ll also share how the program has adapted to changing community needs and how data is used to understand demand, measure impact, and guide decisions.

Join us to learn more about an important service supporting people in crisis across Edmonton and the work being done to strengthen our community.

Our meeting is held at the Chateau Nova Yellowhead. Come in the conference door and look for the banner. If you cannot come in person, please join us by Zoom: Meeting ID 780 222 3440; Passcode Mayfield.

At the Sept 16th meeting, the financial statements for the club and society will be presented to the membership for acceptance. If you are not able to attend and have questions, please forward them to Maureen. Thank you to our IMPACT members, Sharon Kentish and Don Wawryk, for reviewing the statements.

FIO 2026 Update

Wine Tree — 30 of 100 Bottles

Our Wine Tree is one of the most popular live auction items every year, and we need your help to fill it. We currently have 30 bottles and our target is 100. It’s easy to contribute: simply call Grant at Aligra Wine & Spirits (780-483-1083) tell him how much you would like to spend and he does the rest.

Tickets — 92 Sold and Counting

We are making great progress — 92 tickets sold to date. Keep spreading the word and encourage your family, friends and colleagues to purchase their tickets before they sell out.

Purchase your tickets here: zeffy

Individual tickets: $150 | Table of 10: $1,350 (tax receipts available)

Auction Items Needed — Live Auction

We are still building our live auction lineup and need your help. If you have an item, experience, or connection that could make a great auction donation, please reach out to Samar Barazesh at barazesh@ualberta.ca or 780-691-0920. Every item makes a difference.

Call to All Rotarians — Local Brewery Outreach

Do you have a connection at a local brewery? We are calling on all Rotarians to reach out to your contacts and ask if they would be willing to sponsor a gift basket/ gift card for FIO 2026. This is a fantastic way for local businesses to get involved and show their support for our community. Please reach out to your contacts today.

Thank you for your continued support , together we will make FIO 2026 our best year yet.

Next FIO committee meeting: September 15

Get Involved: Join a Committee This Year

Looking for a meaningful way to get more involved this year? Serving on a club committee is a great way to volunteer your time, learn new skills, and contribute directly to the work that moves our club forward. Committees offer a chance to collaborate, share ideas, and shape the projects and initiatives that matter most to our community.

Whether you’re new to Rotary or a long-time member, your perspective and energy are valuable. If you’re interested in joining a committee or want to learn more about the options available, please reach out. We’d love to have you involved.

Members Anniversaries

We’re launching a new section on our social media channels to celebrate (and brag a little 😉) about the incredible members of our club and the unique stories behind their Rotary journeys.

We invite all members to share a Personal Expression Statement highlighting the impact Rotary has had on your life, and the difference you’ve made through Rotary. This is your chance to tell your story, your way, and inspire others along the way.

Please Use this link to submit your story. Or email Victoria directly with your story.

How can we tell our story?

If you are working on a project or event or if you want to share your Rotary journey with others, we want to hear about it. And if you attend an event, take pictures or videos and send them to Victoria. We will use these for social media and bulletin posts.
Are you an established professional who wants to make positive changes in your community and the world? Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship.
We invite you to join us at an upcoming meeting.
