Sports Central Tour

Club members recently had the opportunity to visit Sport Central and learn more about the incredible work they do to ensure children and youth have access to sports equipment, regardless of their financial circumstances.

It was inspiring to see firsthand how donated equipment is collected, refurbished, and redistributed to young people across our community.

We’re excited to be partnering with Sport Central for Fork It Over 2026 and look forward to working together to make an even greater impact for local kids and families.

Next Meeting

At our next meeting, we’ll welcome Paul Dusseault, who will share an update on the work of Mission Claridad and its activities in Ecuador.

For more than 10 years, Paul and his wife Cynthia have been organizing and managing projects in Ecuador. Over the past five years, much of their focus has been on a cataract surgery initiative that has helped restore sight and improve quality of life for many individuals.

Paul will share the results of the most recent cataract mission, held in October 2025, as well as provide an update on the new projects that he and Cynthia are now developing and supporting in Ecuador.

Rotary Urban Spirits is looking for volunteers for their upcoming casino on June 4 and 5 at Century Road Casino on Fort Road. They're happy to donate $500 for each volunteer shift members in our club are able to fill. See the available positions below:

Change Over Dinner

Date: June 29, 2026

Location: University Club (formerly University Faculty Club)

Join us for our Annual Changeover Dinner, an evening where we welcome new leadership, thank outgoing officers, and reflect on a year of service in Edmonton and abroad.

Together, we’ll share updates on community projects, highlight ongoing work in areas such as education, health, and clean water, and look ahead to the coming year’s goals. Please complete this form to confirm your attendance, guests, and any dietary needs.

Rotary on the River

Date: June 24, 2026 at 5:30 PM

Location: Edmonton Queen Riverboat Cruise

Set sail for a memorable summer evening with fellow Rotarians, friends, and guests aboard the Edmonton Queen Riverboat. Enjoy live music, great conversation, delicious food, and beautiful views of the North Saskatchewan River and river valley, all from the water.

An onboard cash bar will be available, and parking is conveniently located near the Muttart Conservatory. Accessibility details and maps are available through the event link.
