At our last meeting we heard from Dr. Abdullah Saleh, one of the founders of ICChange. ICChange is a non-profit started by a group of grad students from the UofA. They use an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to projects and have worked in Ecuador, Africa and in Canada. To learn more, check out their website.
We were so impressed by the work that ICChange does and how well it aligns with the Rotary areas of focus and project planning process that we decided to support their fundraiser by purchasing up to 10 tickets for members and their partners to attend their fundraiser on September 15th. Friends of Edmonton Mayfield Rotary Networking Event
Planning is well underway for this exciting event. If you haven't responded yet, please RSVP so we can count you in. We eagerly anticipate your attendance and look forward to sharing an inspiring afternoon of project impact stories and meaningful connections. Mocktails and a lite dinner will be available.

Youth Services
Jeremiah has stepped up to lead the youth services efforts in our club. To participate in youth programs, we need members to renew their Vulnerable Persons Certification which are processed by the police service in the area where you reside. If you need assistance, contact Lorne.
Volunteers Required
Maureen is still looking for two members to review the financial records of the club and society for the prior year. No experience is necessary and the review can be done on-line and on your own schedule. Email Maureen if you can help out.
Reminder
Dues invoices were sent out in July and are now past due. A reminder statement was sent out today and you can click on the link in the statement to pay on-line. If you need more time, please message Maureen. Francine will be making collection calls early in September for those members who are still unpaid.
