Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 2nd. Rose will provide an overview of the Rotary International conference. Following that, Jeanette will facilitate a group discussion about both the District and Rotary International conferences, giving everyone an opportunity to share personal highlights and key takeaways. It’s a wonderful chance to reflect on what we’ve learned and how it can inspire our continued service.

Celebrating 50 Years of Service
As we prepare for our 50th anniversary in 2027, we’re building something meaningful to honour our club’s journey, and we need your help to make it complete.
For the past few months, the 50th Anniversary Committee has been collecting stories, photos, and memories from members to create a commemorative project that reflects who we are and the impact we’ve made together. Your voice matters. Every memory shared helps us paint a fuller picture of our club’s legacy.
If you haven’t yet, please take a few minutes to contribute using this Form. Whether it’s a favorite event, a moment of service, or a photo that brings back memories, we’d love to include it.
Have questions? Reach out to Jim Galpin, our Club Historian.
IMPACT by the Rotary Club of Edmonton Mayfield
Know Someone Who Wants to Make a Difference—Their Way? Tell them about IMPACT by the Rotary Club of Edmonton Mayfield!
IMPACT is perfect for people who want to give back but need a more flexible way to do it. It’s project-based, casual, and community-focused, ideal for busy schedules, young professionals, and families who still want to make a meaningful impact.
Same values. Same mission. Just a fresh, flexible approach to service and connection.
If you know someone who might be a great fit, please share this with them!
The Changeover Dinner is happening tomorrow, Monday, June 30, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at The University Club, University of Alberta (11435 Saskatchewan Drive NW).
This special evening is our chance to celebrate and recognize the incredible contributions of our past President, Linda Pincock. We’ll also formally welcome our new President, Arif Alibhai, and acknowledge our current Executive members.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Past Events
Rotary International Convention
Our club was proud to be part of the Rotary International Convention in Calgary, and what an unforgettable experience it was!
From powerful keynote speakers to inspiring breakout sessions and meaningful conversations at every turn, the convention was a true celebration of what it means to be a Rotarian. We had the chance to connect with members from around the world, share our own journey, and learn from others doing impactful work in their communities.
There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by thousands of people who believe in service above self. We came back energized, full of ideas, and more motivated than ever to keep making a difference, right here in our own backyard.
Thank you to everyone who attended and represented our club so well! We can’t wait to hear about your experiences at our upcoming meetings.
Kicking Off Summer at Brightview
Our annual Brightview School BBQ was held on June 18, and as always, it was a heartwarming way to kick off the summer season!
Thank you to everyone who made time to join us. There’s something special about sharing a few laughs, and handing out hot dogs and snacks to a line of excited kids.
We loved seeing so many of you representing our club with energy, kindness, and big smiles.
Self-Care Corner - BBQs and Canada Day
There’s nothing like a good old-fashioned BBQ to bring people together. Whether it’s burgers, veggie skewers, or just sitting around with a cold drink, BBQs have a way of making everyone feel a little more relaxed. They’re easy, casual, and a great excuse to slow down and spend time with people we care about.
With Canada Day coming up, it’s the perfect time to fire up the grill and enjoy some fresh air and connection. Even a small gathering can lift your spirits and give you that reset we all need sometimes. Good food, good company, and a bit of sunshine, it’s a simple way to take care of yourself and others.
How can we tell our story?
If you are working on a project or event or if you want to share your Rotary journey with others, we want to hear about it. And if you attend an event, take pictures or videos and send them to Victoria. We will use these for social media and bulletin posts.
Are you an established professional who wants to make positive changes in your community and the world? Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship.
We invite you to join us at an upcoming meeting.
