Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 20th.
We're thrilled to welcome Victoria Celi, who manages our social media channels. She’ll be sharing why a strong social media presence matters for Rotary and how it helps us connect with more people in our community.
Together, we’ll explore ways each of us can help increase awareness and engagement for our club. It’s a chance to learn simple, practical tips that make a big difference, and to see how our collective efforts can spread the word about the good work we do.
For those who cannot attend in person, the Zoom login for the meeting is Meeting ID 780 222 3440 Passcode Mayfield
Last Meeting Recap
At our last meeting, our Community Service Director, Rachel Poelzer, led us through an engaging group activity. We gathered in small groups of three or four to reflect on community service and share our experiences.
The conversations were guided by three questions:
What kind of volunteering have we done in the past?
Which club projects from previous years stand out the most?
What organizations are we currently supporting as individuals?
It was a wonderful way to spark ideas, celebrate the work we’ve done, and see how each of us is making an impact in our own way. These discussions will help shape how we continue serving our community together.
Follow Our Rotary Youth Exchange Students
The District 5370 Rotary Youth Exchange Committee is inviting us to follow their Instagram account, where they’ll be sharing stories and updates from our Youth Exchange students throughout their journeys abroad.
It’s a wonderful way to stay connected, cheer them on, and witness the life-changing experiences these students are having as part of the Rotary Youth Exchange program.
We’re happy to share that our club is sponsoring Beaconference 2025, hosted by our very own member Jean Jacques Mitakaro! This inspiring conference focuses on equipping young underserved entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge, and connections they need to grow and succeed.
As part of our sponsorship, we have two complimentary tickets available for members who would like to attend. If you’re interested, please email Rachel at r.v.poelzer@gmail.com to request one (or both) tickets.

If your team is missing players, go ahead and register anyway; there is a team that will help fill in the gaps.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the ice!
Self-Care Corner
Box Breathing for Calm & Focus
Box breathing is a simple yet powerful relaxation technique that helps bring your breath back to a steady rhythm after stress. It involves a cycle of breathing in, holding, breathing out, and holding again, like the four sides of a box.
This practice can help calm the mind, relax the body, and improve focus. It’s easy to do anywhere, anytime you need a reset.
If you are working on a project or event or if you want to share your Rotary journey with others, we want to hear about it. And if you attend an event, take pictures or videos and send them to Victoria. We will use these for social media and bulletin posts.
Are you an established professional who wants to make positive changes in your community and the world? Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship.
We invite you to join us at an upcoming meeting.
